After your order is received
and processed a HughesNet®
Trained Installer will
contact you within 2
business days to arrange an
appointment. Typically, you
can expect your HughesNet®
System to be installed
within 3-10 business days
from the day you order. The
installer will be onsite for
3-5hours.
This could happen when a
VERY thick and heavy rain
clouds passes overhead. Here
in California we rarely see
this problem. An easy rule
of thumb is if you
experience brief outages
with DirecTV or Dish Network
now, you will with this
system too. Once again it
needs to be VERY thick and
heavy to experience an
outage.
No, there is no phone line
requirement for normal
operation, therefore, a
modem is not required to use
your HughesNet® service with
the HughesNet® modem (model
number: DW7000).
HughesNet delivers
high-speed Internet over
satellite—not over your
telephone line—so you can
surf and talk at the same
time. A certified HughesNet
installer will connect your
computer to a satellite
modem and link it to a
satellite dish (antenna)
that’s typically mounted on
the roof of your home. The
satellite dish sends and
receives information (i.e.,
email, Web pages, files)
over the Internet and
delivers it your computer
almost instantly! Trace the
